Welcome! Whether you're new to the program or have years of experience, we have training options just for you. Read below to learn about the types of training offered through the program and from affiliated industry groups.
PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to talk to your Account Manager prior to registering for any courses that require a fee - certain courses are subsidized by the program and discount codes may be available.

New Contractor Training: All contractors who apply for participation in Energy Upgrade California® Home Upgrade in the Southern California Edison and SoCalGas® service territories must meet certain training requirements related to project processing, combustion safety and home performance best practices.

Program Related Training: The program offers quarterly in-person Technical Training sessions. During these sessions, we cover a wide range of topics, from program enhancements and energy modeling training to special topics such as project financing and variable speed pool pumps. Sessions are eligible for BPI Continuing Education Credits.

Home Performance Industry Training: As a courtesy to Participating Contractors, the program team shares information about relevant courses offered by industry organizations like BPI, FPSIE and others. These courses are noted on our events calendar and are updated frequently.

Sales and Marketing Training: At periodic sales and marketing training courses, the program offers Participating Contractors information and tools and strategies to help maximize participation in Home Upgrade. Sales and marketing courses are often provided at no charge to Participating Contractors.

Mentoring Program: Based on BPI Building Analyst Technical Standards, our Mentoring Program provides guidance on diagnostic testing, combustion safety and building science. Mentoring is required for new Participating Contractors, but is available as a refresher course for all Participating Contractors at any time.
